My name is Tonya Davidson and I am one of the 2nd grade teachers at Lakeview. This is my 3rd year teaching at Lakeview, but 15th year teaching. Of those 15 years, 13 of them have been spent teaching 2ndgrade. There is something truly magical about 2nd graders. My favorite part of teaching is watching the “ah-ha” moment and watching the light bulbs come on in kids’ eyes when they get it.
I am originally from Portland, Oregon. I graduated from Portland State University with my Psychology and Sociology degree, and then went on to Concordia University to get my Masters in Teaching. I taught in Oregon for 2 years and then moved up here to the Seattle area. I currently live in Woodinville with my husband, 9 year old daughter, and dog named Kona. I absolutely love being outside. During the winter we love to ski as a family and in the summers we enjoy being outdoors working on our yard, hiking, or just being together as a family.
