Dear Lakeview community,

It is an honor to be serving such a dynamic and exceptional community as your principal.  Lakeview Elementary has an excellent reputation for strong instructional programs, a highly capable and dedicated staff, and a supportive parent community. I look forward to working in partnership to build on this foundation, to create endless opportunities for every student!

I am born and raised in the Pacific Northwest.  I grew up in Lake Forest Park and attended the University of Washington for my undergraduate degree in psychology, and Seattle Pacific University for my Masters programs in educational leadership.  I have been in education since 2008, working as a fourth-grade teacher, a K-5 instructional coach supporting literacy and math instruction, and Dean of Students in the Issaquah School District.  I joined the Lake Washington School District in 2019 as the Associate Principal at Clara Barton Elementary where I have served the past three years. 

I have a passion for education and advocating for what is best for students.  I believe that relationships and strong partnership with staff, students, and families are critical to our work.   I look forward to joining the Lakeview community and doing all that I can to empower and inspire all our students to learn, grow, and succeed.   

On a personal note, my husband Brian and I recently bought a house in North Bend with our Bernedoodle named Tater, who just turned one and loves being the center of attention.  I love to read, travel, hike, and spend time with family and friends. I am an avid sports fan, and proudly cheer for the Seahawks, Mariners, and Huskies. 

I look forward to developing collaborative relationships with your family in our shared goal of achieving a rich academic and social learning experience for your child.  I welcome the opportunity to meet with you further around any areas of concern or interest.  Please contact our Office Manager Debus Frey to make an appointment should the need ever arise.
